About Julie

A photographer for over 20 years Julie Brown makes images for editorial and corporate clients. Julie has worked on staff at The Oakland Tribune (CA) and at the Berkshire Eagle (MA) newspapers. She has traveled to Asia to shoot for the Richard U. Light Fellowship at Yale Universityand has shot for 3 children's books. Currently, Julie shoots for the Yale Alumni Magazine and other Yale University departments including the School of Medicine and the School of Management.

Julie's approach is photojournalistic, capturing the pulse and subtleties of each situation. Her portraits show the truth and reveal personalities through environment and mood.

Julie lives with her husband, son, and daughter in New York City and has a BFA in photography from Rochester Institute of Technology,
